Design your LED wall before asking for a quote
Choose the environment, module and pitch, then add modules across and down: you instantly see the screen to scale, with resolution, area and minimum viewing distance.
Indicative values, calculated on the nominal pitch. Structure, installation and software are defined in the quote.
Large-format LED billboard
Choose the format and the facade, upload your artwork and see the LED wall on the building.

What is a LED wall
A screen built like a mosaic
A LED wall is a screen made of LED modules placed side by side. Each module holds thousands of pixels, and each pixel combines three LEDs: red, green and blue. Joined together, the modules create one continuous image with no bezels, in any size and shape: flat, curved, angled or wrapped around a column.
Compared with a videowall of monitors, a LED wall has no seams, reaches up to 10,000 nits of brightness and stays readable in direct sunlight. That is why it is the choice for shop windows, façades, stadiums, stages and large indoor spaces.
We help you choose the right pitch
The pitch depends on how the screen is used: you don't always need the highest resolution if the audience watches from far away.
The golden rule: every millimetre of pitch equals one metre of minimum viewing distance. A P3.9 looks sharp from 3.9 metres, a P10 from 10 metres. The closer the audience, the closer together the pixels need to be.
- Museums: P0.9–P2.5
- Meeting rooms: P0.9–P1.87
- Retail: P1.87–P2.5
- Trade fairs: P1.9–P3.9
- Events: P2.5–P4.8
- DOOH advertising: P3.9–P10
How to choose
Four questions for the right LED wall
No technical knowledge needed: we start from where the screen will go and who will watch it.
How far away will people watch?
The minimum viewing distance in metres roughly matches the pitch in millimetres: the closer people get, the smaller the pitch must be.
How much light is there?
Indoors 600–800 nits are enough; behind a shop window you need 2,500–4,000 nits, outdoors up to 8,000 nits.
Permanent or temporary?
For permanent installations we design custom structures and frames; for events we use lightweight cabinets for quick assembly.
Who manages the content?
With FluidNext you schedule content remotely on one or hundreds of screens, with dedicated support.
- SMD: the three LEDs in one component soldered on the board. The most versatile technology, indoor and outdoor.
- COB: chips mounted on the board and protected by a uniform layer: minimal pitch, high contrast, impact resistance.
- GOB: SMD modules covered with transparent resin against impacts, dust and humidity.
- Micro LED: microscopic diodes for pitches below one millimetre, the quality of an LCD without bezels.

Tecnovision worldwide
Since 1987 our LED walls have lit up stadiums, cities and circuits all over the world
In 1987 only four companies in the world knew how to design reliable full colour giant screens. Tecnovision was one of them. In 2004 we were producing, entirely in Italy, almost one twentieth of the LED displays sold worldwide. Today we count over 10,000 LED installations in 100 countries.
- 1987: among the world pioneers of LED giant screens, one of the first four companies in the world to make full colour LED screens.
- Mexico: the largest LED advertising network in the country. In the 2000s over two hundred giant screens for one of Mexico's leading broadcasters, managed remotely via satellite.
- Sport: stadiums and arenas as far as Canada and Australia. Hundreds of giant screens and scoreboards installed around the world.
- F1 · MotoGP: mobile screens for the big touring events. Formula 1 and MotoGP choose our mobile screens for quality and reliability.
- 2004: 4.9% of the world LED display market, with production entirely in Italy.
- 2028: twelve countries covered directly. The international development plan replicates the one stop shop model.
Projects around the world include Khalifa Sports City Hall and Lusail Sport Arena in Qatar, University of Doha, LED columns in a mall in Kuwait, Muscat Airport in Oman, Jeddah Stadium in Saudi Arabia, Windowist in Istanbul, Stureplan in Stockholm, Mercedes-Benz Arena in Germany, Rugby Football Union in the United Kingdom, Sydney Airport in Australia and Valencia Expo in Spain.

Tecnovision Finance
Your LED wall with operating lease
A different way to fund the investment: you pay a monthly fee and the screen works for you from day one, without tying up cash and without touching your bank credit lines.
- Not reported to the Central Credit Register: an operating lease does not appear among your bank credit lines, so your borrowing capacity stays intact.
- No impact on net financial position: it does not weigh on your net financial position, so your balance sheet stays lighter.
- No deposit: no need to pay the value of the screen upfront, you only pay the periodic fee.
- Insurance included: several cover options, up to an all risk policy.
- Alternative finance: fund the investment without going through traditional financial channels.
Frequently asked questions
LED walls: the answers
What is the pitch P of a LED wall?
It is the distance in millimetres between two pixels. A smaller pitch means more pixels and more detail up close. It is chosen according to the distance from which the audience will watch the screen.
What is the difference between indoor and outdoor LED walls?
Outdoor LED walls have much higher brightness, protection against water and dust, and structures designed for wind and temperature. Indoor ones have finer pitches, because people watch them from closer up.
How much does a LED wall cost?
The screen starts from about €1,500 per m² for outdoor, €1,750 for indoor, €2,250 for shop windows and €2,500 for fine pitch indoor, VAT excluded. The full quote includes structure, installation and software.
Can a LED wall be any size and shape?
Yes. Being modular, a LED wall adapts to the size of the space and can be curved, angled, wrapped around a column or integrated into the architecture. We design custom structures for every installation.
How long does a LED wall last?
A professional LED wall is designed to run many hours a day for years. Its lifespan depends on component quality, operating brightness and maintenance: that is why we use selected LEDs and offer support and remote monitoring plans.
Do you also rent LED walls?
Yes, for events, trade fairs, concerts and temporary installations, always with technicians included.
How is the content managed?
With FluidNext, our platform: you schedule playlists by day and time slot and update one or hundreds of screens remotely, checking their status in real time.
